SATURDAY MORNING – OCT 20th 2018 – High School Tours starting at 10:30 and about every 5 to 10 minutes. There will probably be 3 groups of tours.. There are high school placement tests that weekend the third floor is pretty much off limits, including the renovated Latin room. We may be asked to be more quiet in certain areas.

7:30-8:15: Buffet dinner. Be sure to allow time to get through any of the 4 buffet lines before they close.
Dessert table is in the back of the room inside the entry doors. Cake designed by Tom Kerrins. Cookies from Oak Park Bakery, an institution. Feel free to enjoy the desserts while seated for our short 15 minute presentation. The cake will be removed earlier to be cut up by the staff so take a peek when you arrive to appreciate:-) There will be some gluten free and sugar free dessert options.
8:15-8:30: Presentations to honor Veterans, with added focus on Vietnam Vets, thank committee and volunteers, OP Alumni Association little promo without whom it would be difficult to coordinate events at the high school.. We have a couple of surprise appreciations as well:-) We ask that you be respectfully quiet during this short period, especially as we honor our Veterans. And THEN it’s party time!
Cash bar: OPEN 6:30-7:30. CLOSED 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. OPEN 8:30 until last call at 11 p.m.
DJ: OPRF Grad, Rick Storto from 6:30 to 8:15 background music. 8:30 to 11:15 p.m. dance music with a focus on 1964-1968.
Except for the 15 minutes of quiet during presentations feel free to have some laughs at Jackie’s fun photo table. Meander over to the memorabilia table perusing through Tabulas, mementos from high school events,photos, Gordy Spark’s brand newly published book and whatever other memories classmates lend us for the night. . PLEASE SIGN IN THE 1968 TABULA DONATED TO US BY APRIL ROSS IN HONOR OF HER SISTER, NANCY, RIP, OUR CLASSMATE WE LOST LAST YEAR. ALSO PLEASE TAKE TIME TO SIGN THE CARDS FOR OUR HOMEBOUND CLASSMATES. We have a volunteer to sit at the table to make sure everything is safe.

-If disabled in any way, you can be dropped at the front door go into the elevator to the second floor ballroom. There is a wheelchair accessible restroom on that floor.
Rest rooms: the wheelchair accessible and men’s are on the second floor, ladies on the first floor. You can use either of the two stairwells or the elevator.
– Parking: is in the garage in the new high rise just to the south of the 19th Century Club
AFTER 19th Century main event, for the night owls, head down to Poor Phil’s at the Carleton Hotel.

Classmate Barbara Hausman has been singing in the breast cancer fund raiser twice a year for a number of years now. The show is always well done with some real talent and some foot stomping sing along song in which you can’t help but participate:-)
